How  often is it that another birthday has come round and you are trying to give great gifts without paying a fortune for them?

The year seems to be full of anniversary’s, weddings, birthdays and other such occasions where a gift is needed. A good idea to combat the ongoing expense of all these gifts is to think ahead and buy presents in advance when they are in a sale.

The only problem with this of course is remembering which gift you bought for who and having it ready at the right time. the best thing to do is to make a list of people and their anniversary dates and add to it the gift that you bought and where you have it stored, so that when the time comes, you are ready for the occasion.

If you have children then you will know that throughout the year, they will be asked to many parties and so stocking up in readiness for such occasions,  when a local toy store has a sale will save you a fair bit of money.

One tip here, don’t buy anything that is currently ‘all the rage’ as come the birthday of the little person you bought it for, it may no longer be in fashion. Think instead about Disney character toys which have been in fashion for a long time and are loved by many a child.

There are great gifts that you can buy for adults in advance too. Flower vases, picture frames and photo albums, along with scented candles, all make super gifts and can be bought at any sale and will be great when the occasion arises for the gift to be given.

Organising your gift buying in this way will take away the stress and tension of last minute shopping and make your life a lot easier. It will also ensure that you will not be rushed into making that purchase and so the gift will be one that is better thought out.

Never fear that you are giving a cheaper gift.  Monetary value shouldn’t mean as much by far as the thought that has gone into what gift to give.
